Fitting a tracker in Ascot: what is different here

Two kinds of car sit in Ascot garages, and they need different conversations. The modern keyless SUV needs an immobiliser, because a relay attack works just as well at the end of a two-hundred-metre gravel drive as it does on a Fulham street. The weekend or classic car needs a battery conversation first: a hard-wired tracker draws a small standing current, and on a car that does five hundred miles a year that is the difference between turning the key and calling a recovery truck. We check and advise rather than just fitting.

Access here is about distance rather than restriction. There are no permits, but the car is often a long way from any road, sometimes behind two sets of gates, and occasionally in a barn with no power. We bring our own lighting and work off our own supply, so that is fine - we just need to know in advance. Race week at Ascot changes the roads around the course substantially for several days in June, and we will schedule around it if your fitting falls in it.
