Saturday is the thing to plan around. The Portobello market closes Portobello Road and constrains everything feeding into it, and the streets that are still open fill with visitor traffic from mid-morning. We will fit in Notting Hill on a Saturday if that is what suits you, but we will suggest a weekday morning, and we will ask which end of your street you are parked on. Carnival weekend in late August is the other exception - large parts of W11 are inaccessible and we do not book fittings inside the closure area.

The streets themselves are narrow and steeply cambered in places, and the residents' bays are full by evening. That is a practical argument for booking a morning slot: there is space to work beside the car, and we are not obstructing a street that has no give in it. If you have access to one of the communal garden squares or a gated garage off Clarendon Road or Lansdowne Walk, say so when you book - it makes for an easier, drier fitting.
